YouTube has most of the episodes of this great show. The picture ranges from fair-to-good. Some of the videos were edited by the old Sci-Fi Channel, shortening them by three minutes.

From IMDB: Three scientistsinvestigates claims that a tree kills passersby by emitting a deadly gas.

The IMDB summary doesn't mention the fact that three geologist are conducting a seismic survey to map fault lines in a remote area. At the beginning of the episode, the local townspeople tell them to beware of a "killer tree" which is guarding a buried treasure!
They meet an old prospector (played by Hank Patterson from Tarantula) who tells them his partner was killed by the infamous tree. He takes them to it, and the scientist discover that the area below the large tree contains methane gas, which comes up from the ground periodically and kills any living things in the area.
But this also means the "treasure" beneath the tree is petroleum!
This is a fine story — because of both the drama and the interesting science elements.
One of the scientists is the former child actress Bonita Granville, star of the 1940s Nancy Drew series. I watched them a few months ago, and the were highly entertaining. _________________ ____________

From IMDB: A top secret rocket is launched from the Pacific to test a new hydrogen ion booster; the target is the moon. Inexplicably, it sets off a rash of flying saucer sightings on the East Coast. The scientists monitoring the flight are also surprised when the rocket is trailed by several unidentified blips on radar as it nears the moon.

Folks, this is an episode you have so see to believe.
Does that means it's good?
Well . . . no. In fact, it's like an outrageous straight-faced parody of 1950s space adventures. I won't even try to describe it, guys — accept to say that the ham acting is atrocious and story involves an unmanned rocket being sent around the Moon, where six UFO escort is back to Earth and wreck on purpose!
All the FX are borrowed from the 1941 Austrian short, shown below. But what they did with them here is, I'm sorry to say, laughable. In a way, this is the absolute worst episode of Science Fiction Theatre.
Please watch it and leave a reply
