My "tribute" jacket.
I'm a dedicated thrift store shopper...and I collect sewing machines. I often combine these things to make some unique pieces.
I found a Canadian made, flight jacket style windbreaker made for CANEX (similar to the American BX base exchange). Amazon has a good deal on Velcro backed patches. Going through the patches, I realized I had a number of John Young patches. Young was a former Navy pilot who flew Gemini, Apollo and shuttle missions. I decided to put a number of these patches on that jacket.
