Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is an upcoming American monster film directed by Adam Wingard. It is a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), and the fifth film in the MonsterVerse. Today I rented this movie from Prime Video.

Despite the overly complex plot and the deliberately fast-pasted action which tends to smother the story, this movie is certainly a fun film to watch.

It's one of those movies that expects us to park our brains outside and bask in the tidal wave of FX which washes over us for two hours.

For those of us who hated the Japans movies that inflicted those ridiculous rubber-suited monsters on us for decades, this movie finally uses modern CGI to do it right.

Even Mothera (a damn bug that flies into Bug Zappers) has been turned into ah impressive monster!

If you haven't seen it, buckle up and give it a try.
