I don't remember where I heard or read this, and it may not be exact.

A Scientist says to God, that with the advances in knowledge and science, man can now create anything that God can. To prove it, the Scientist challenges God to a contest to see who can make a better human from scratch (so to speak), just like God did originally.

God accepts the challenge. The Scientist reaches down for a handful of soil, when God interrupts him. That is my soil God tells the Scientist. You have to make your own.
