This is statement by successful businessman & former presidential candidate Andrew Yang while guesting on Bill Maher's HBO TV series Real Time, who was quoting a friend of his. It jumped out at me as being an excellent description of humanities current status.

Boy, this is so true!

For all our technological advancement we are still governed by the reptile part of our cerebellum! Our racism is the same as the territoriality of the most primitive primate!

We DO have the ability to rise above it, but it can just take one despotic madman, using the weapons of destruction we have at our fingertips to send us back to the stone age.

Too many of those with the ability to set it in motion exist today!
