This is a very interesting episode, but the basic premise needs a change in the way three alien "children" are portrayed.
Tuvok finds the youngsters after crashing landing on an alien planet, and then he endeavors to protect from an unseen being which they fear will kill them when they go to sleep!
The three cute kids tell Tuvok that a creature called the Morrok, which lives in a nearby cave, will take them when they go to sleep at night. Tuvok doesn't believe a word of it . . . until two of the three kids disappear during the night, and he finds their empty clothing in the cave.
It turns out that the "kids" aren't actually kids — they're actually aliens whose lifecycle is the reverse of humans, so the kids are in their 90s!
The idea is interesting . . . but there's a problem with having these young aliens played by cute child actors. Ift makes the whole idea seem unbelievable. I mean . . . the kids are really old people?
What the hell did they look like when they we born? Mother Teresa?
The concept would have seem more plausible if the kids had looked like aliens — not adorable 5th graders. _________________ ____________
