The lovely Markie Post (Marjorie Armstrong Post), November 4, 1950~August 7, 2021, has passed away.
Markie appeared on the following sci~fi TV shows: The Incredible Hulk (1979), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979), The Greatest American Hero (1981), VR. 5 (1995), Ghost Whisperer (2006). Markie starred in the made-for-TV movie Visitors of the Night (1995) which involved UFOs.
In 2001 a pilot was made to resurrect the Saturday morning superhero show Electra Woman & Dyna Girl. The pilot presented a very different Electra Woman. In it she's a chain smoking, down-on-her-luck, jilted woman living in a trashy trailer located in a trashy trailer park.
The pilot is a hoot and its a shame it was picked up for a series.
A beautiful actress that could do both drama and comedy equally well. She will be missed. |
