More harmless fun with the men from U.N.C.L.E. (Robert Vaughn, David McCallum, and Leo G. Carroll).
This combination of two TV episodes involves a super weapon that makes use of a "thermal prism". The viewer is treated to nice Greek locations, a group of occult practitioners, and (of course) helicopters.
One thing the U.N.C.L.E. series never cheated on was plenty of good guest stars. This one features Lola Albright, John Carradine, Bradford Dillman, and Carol Lynley. Directed by Boris Sagal.

Geez Louise, I remember standing in line for hours to get into either this, or the other UNCLE movie you posted, Bud.
Could not get a seat & remained standing for the entire movie.
All of my friends & I were huge UNCLE fans & we actually thought that this was an original film about the TV series & not 2 episodes we'd already seen strung together.
What a gip! Clever that MGM.
At least the McHale's Navy movies were original films. |

I tried to find this one on Youtube or Stagevu so I could post a link that would let you watch it sitting down.
Couldn't find it. Rats . . . _________________ ____________

Feature version of the two-part episode, "The Prince of Darkness Affair". These episodes caused trouble, because of how expensive they were, the two parts have as many sets, and locations as a feature film.
There is a dark running gag though out the episodes with H.M. Wynant, as the various Aksoy brothers. As one gets killed, another one shows up.
It is my favorite of the fourth season episodes. Partially because it is like a feature film, and partially because it reminds me of a first season episode. After the broad humor of the second, and third seasons the fourth got very serious. This one had some of the first season humor. Like the gag with the Aksoy brothers.

That's okay, Bud. My fandom regarding TMFU is looong behind me.
Its one of those TV series that I loved as a kid but upon seeing some episodes recently I find the show hasn't aged well.
Hmmm, that'd be an interesting topic for AS-F. TV shows we were devoted to at one time but now have to admit that they aren't all that good the second time around years later. |

That would pretty much cover every show I loved as a kid-through-adolescent and a little beyond that. _________________ ...or not...

I must admit that these trailers make the U.N.C.L.E. movies look like a lot of fun.

Always thought Robert Vaugn's Napoleon Solo (Name courtesy of Ian Fleming) had the finesse and polish.
While David McCallum's Illya Kuryakin had the "Cool Factor" locked down tight.
And Leo G. Carroll's Alexander Waverly has them both beat with style. _________________ No Matter Where You Go.

By gum, Jack, you're right! when it comes to names. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. can't be beat. Thanks for calling our attention to this fact. _________________ ____________
