That's an impressive automobile, for sure - I wonder how many miles it does to the gallon...?

It depends on the driving conditions.
35 miles per gallon on the highway.
30 miles per gallon in the city.
20 miles per gallon when driving over the rooftops! _________________ ____________

Sorry, but by me, that ain't no Batmobile. It looks more like a cross between something from Mad Max and a Formula 1 car on steroids. |

It needs a Bat - Shield mounted on the front like the one on the 50's Batmobile.
Now, THAT was a car!!!! _________________ There comes a time, thief, when gold loses its lustre, and the gems cease to sparkle, and the throne room becomes a prison; and all that is left is a father's love for his child.

As the cars for the opening race in Ready Player One line up, in the foreground we can see the 1960s Batmobile... one of a huge number of Easter eggs in the film. There is even a glimpse of Batman in the distance, cape billowing in the wind, early on...

I saw Ready Player One yesterday in 3D IMAX, and I did indeed notice the 1960s Batmobile — especially when King Kong absolutely obliterated it during the race.
A complete list of all the beloved science fiction and fantasy elements — like monsters and robots and spaceships — which Ready Player One snuck into that amazing movie would be very, very long!
Since I've never been a gamer, all the beloved elements from several decades of popular video games mostly went right over my head (quite literally, since the movie was in 3D), but I enjoyed them anyway. _________________ ____________

There didn't seem to be any Marvel appearances, though with all the games and other media things we managed to do without them. It would have been cool if they'd fitted in a Stan Lee cameo appearance, though!
3D effects that literally went over your head do make me envious... most 3D films I've seen, the thrown objects, etc, tend to come to an end over the row in front of me. I guess I need to be in a seat a bit further towards the front... |
