You have to enclose the link in the "[img]" "[/img]" codes.
Secondly, the link you used is the link to the web page, not the image itself. The image's code is https://i.imgur.com/Y69nyqE.png
Thirdly, the image is 960 pixels wide, which is going to upset Bud. _________________ ...or not...

Wayne is right, Butch. A jpeg only displays if it has to have the [img] and [/img] codes on each end. Here's how to get the right code.
On Imgur, put your cursor over the upper right corner of the image you want to post. This will cause a "down arrow" and a drop down menu to appear.
Select the second item on the menu, "Get share links".
Click on the blue box labeled "BBCode (Format)"
Paste that code into your post. If you don't know how to resize your images, do worry about that. I'll fix it for you. I already fixed the one in Wayne's post (he was right, it was 960 pixel wide before, now it's 700 pixels), and I fixed the way you had it looking so pall and washed out, too. _________________ ____________

Thanks guys!
THe original shot was very dark. it is from the season end of Star Trek: Discovery episode Will You Take My Hand?. t is the new-retro U. S. S. Enterprise just s it meets the U. S. S. Discovery. I tried to brighten it a bit so it could be seen better thn it was on screen. The ship appears to be a blend of the Star Trek Phase II ship with the ship seen in Star Trek The Motion Picture and Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan. _________________ Common Sense ISN'T Common |

I'm afraid you're mistaken, Butch.
For years you've sometimes posted washed out, no-contrast pictures which you deliberately brightened because you thought they were too dark. I suspect you've got the brightness set too low on your monitor.
Admittedly the picture of the Enterprise has a very high contrast, but that's because it's a picture of a starship with several areas which glow brightly while it's cruising through the eternal night of deep space!
I found two websites with the same picture. Here's the link that shows my Google search. Notice that my adjusted image of your original lightened version has the same contrast as the two I found.
Try adjusting your monitor, Butch. Brighten IT up so you don't keep washing out the pictures you post.
