I do remember the Gold Key comic more than the show.





It was also a comic strip in the UK.

I was only 3 when the show started, so I have vague memories of the show, but I did have the REMCO toy Supercar. You would put a plastic disc in the back, and it would move a pattern. Different discs, different patterns.

I now have the Johnny Lightning Supercars. One with the wings retracted, and one with the wings extended.

Fun Facts } In order to sell the show to interested producers, a lavish brochure was created.

The Supercar was the most expensive part of the production.
It was seven feet long, three feet wide, and weighed in at fifty lbs.

The first 26-episodes were shot between September 1960 and May of 1961.

13-more episodes were filmed from October 1962 to January 1962.
