The long awaited sequel was kiboshed by Disney when they took over the company making it! Mike Tobacco was going to be back, much older obviously...but alas not to be!

Back when the DVD of the movie was released (around 1999), the Chiodo brothers said that if the DVD sold well, they would make a sequel. I always assumed that the DVDs didn't sell well.

How they did the cotton candy cocoon gun.
