_____
Also released as: Queen of the Gorillas
Lance Fuller ("This Island Earth") and Charlotte Austin play husband and wife on a camping trip in darkest, stock-footage-invested Africa. Charlotte feels strangely drawn to the gorillas; it turns out she's a reincarnated ape. Lance loses her when she reverts to a gorilla state and elopes with one of her own kind.
Directed by Adrian Weiss. Screenplay by (get this) Edward D. Wood, Jr. (no surprise)

A plot inspired by the expression, "going ape". _________________ ...or not...

Get a load of the scene in which the girl stands very still while the ape removes her nightgown and tosses it aside.
Wowzer . . .

Looks a little like Forbidden Planet-footage-invested Africa, too.

Darn, don't you just hate it when your bride turns out to be a reincarnated ape, and runs off with a male of her own kind? Some days is bad days... |

Good God, the trailer for this movie is deliciously lascivious!
We see the ape standing face-to-face with the lovely lady in her bedroom while she seems to be perfectly happy with the fact that the lustful simian creature yanks off her diaphanous nightgown and tosses it onto the floor!
Later in the trailer we watch the ape lovingly carry the lady into his cave . . . while she appears eager to accept whatever fate awaits her!
My God . . . I have GOT to watch this movie and find out just how far it went to defy the sensors of the 1950s.
