________
Vincent Price went to Italy for this inferior sequel to Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine, but the only other American star in it is Fabian, a reasonably likable teen idol who, along with Price, is surrounded by some less likable Italian comedians.
As in the first film, Price plans to use girl-weapons to conquer the world (this time they have bombs in their navels). Director Mario Bava (Planet of Vampires, Danger: Diabolik) has often done better . . . and seldom done worse. _________________ ____________

I'd be interested in seeing the original MUSICAL version (before they cut all of the musical numbers out). Seems like Broadway could use another weird but original musical. _________________ "Have you never wondered what it would be like to walk between the ticks and tocks of Time?" |

Tim, I was certain you were punkin' me with that comment about musical numbers — and I thought it was a GREAT joke!
But, by gum, you're right! Here's what Wikipedia says.

Vincent Price stated in a 1987 interview with David Del Valle that the original script was a camp musical, comparing it to Little Shop of Horrors. Price stated, "It could have been fun, but they cut all the music out", though he is not clear whether the footage was actually shot or the idea was abandoned during production. According to Susan Hart:
One of the best scenes I've seen on film was Vincent Price singing about the bikini machine – it was excellent. And I was told it was taken out because Sam Arkoff thought that Vincent Price looked too fey. But his character was fey!
By taking that particular scene out, I believe they took the explanation and the meat out of that picture. It was a really unique explanatory scene and Vincent Price was beautiful in it, right on the money.[9]
According to Norman Taurog's biographer:
The original plan had been to follow the AIP formula and have songs integrated throughout the film, but Norman brought in Elwood Ullman to do a rewrite . . . and the final script read like a good-natured spoof on the James Bond films with no songs. This apparently disappointed Vincent Price, who had been looking forward to singing.

Yes, indeed, this movie would be a hoot-and-a-half with Vincent Price and the other stars performing musical numbers! _________________ ____________

Wowzer, Tim! Thanks!
Like the two movies with Price, this show includes scenes with insanely sexy gals in hot outfits, shackin' their tail feathers until I drooled profusely!
The movie itself fills the screen with so many delicious dancing damsels that the teenage boys who took dates to the drive-ins didn't have to bother with foreplay — they'd just watch the movie for about twenty minutes and then go "full horizontal" on the back seat!
The only exception to this is teen idol Fabian, who appears in the film. According to Wikipedia, he said, "I hid in the back seat of my car at the drive in when I went to see it."
However, Fabian does NOT say he was alone back there . . .
Anyway, the incredible clip below will demonstrate my point.
