Too many of these movies have people's bodies being torn apart, mutilation, etc. This is too far from the path of virtue. I think sf, fantasy and even horror need some reference to virtue, even if only to provide a contrast with what they're about. I don't think a blood beast film provides a harmonious relationship with others who are also watching it. "The Exorcism of Evil" would be a good movie title. _________________ How do you do, folks? Well, I don't find the gory, slasher type films very interesting. Once you've been shocked by a scene every next one loses it's shock value so they have to "up the gore".
Those kind of films seldom have any redeeming plot or story to compensate for the spillage of blood, and there usually is no really satisfying ending (To leave room for a sequel!). |
