Years ago, I had the germ of an idea for an Alien movie in which a fleet of warships arrives at the Aliens' home world as set to whip them out, but they discover that a Super-Queen Alien was in control of the entire population, and she was not hostile like the drones and the lesser queens were.

Being much more intelligent, the Super-Queen Alien was able to understand that if her species didn't make peace with the humans, they would . . . well, nuke 'em from high orbit. (It's the only way to be sure. Wink

)

But that wouldn't be very interesting to Alien fans, so I didn't take the idea any further.
