For many years until the late 1960s / early 1970s They were held in north Seattle at Green Lake:



It was revived there only once on the 50th anniversary og the Seattle Worlds Fair - Century 21 Exposition on July 4, 1962:



There his a petition to the city council to revive this one and have several 'regional' displays to relieve the population & traffic messes. It is still pending.

Most Americans don't realize just how revolutionary American Independence really was. Never before had a colony or possession of a foreign power ever sought self rule and independence! The chances of success was poor and the ringleaders were sure to be hung. Still, they went forward to establish a nation Of the people, by the people, and for the people.

America is still an experiment in progress....Far from perfect...Heck, sometimes VERY far from perfect....BUT...Still the best chance for the world to be the kind of world that can make every man or woman free of oppression...free of fear...and free of hunger and want.

It's a dream we all are reminded of when the skyrockets soar and show that we are still the land of the free, and the home of the brave.
