Resident Evil, Ghost In A Shell, Alita, and other films based on Japanese characters don’t sell as well in the USA as in overseas markets. Any thoughts as to Why? |

While manga and anime fans are familiar with these characters they are mostly unknown to most of the movie going public.

Thank you for the insight. I was having a conversation with a friend about this the other day. It’s a shame there isn’t a bigger audience for these movies made into live action in the USA. Studios make a big effort to make sense of an anime with a story that makes sense in this country and pick big names in the industry to help promote them. The few of us who watch these films enjoy them. |
