Always liked Rod Taylor, never seemed to really get his due.
Time Machine,Bearcats,The Birds,The Osiris Chronicles were all great entertainment.
Tough guy(& a I'm a big fan of his)Big Bill Smith said that Rod was one of the toughest guys he ever encountered. They really went for it during their ferocious battle in the film Darker Than Amber.

Big fan and I'm sorry to hear this.
I recently purchased this Blu-ray of FATE IS THE HUNTER where he and Glenn Ford share screen time. It's an outstanding drama and it's the kind of thing that Rod Taylor should have done more often:

He talked about that in an issue of Film Fax magazine. When it came time to film the scene Rod Taylor told William Smith, so you're a tough guy, huh? Then he punched William Smith, who had to fight back or be killed. They became good friends after that.
William Smith said that he was in another movie with Rod Taylor, and Richard Harris. For some reason, Richard Harris kept picking fights with Rod Taylor, who would only take so much, then pound Richard Harris into the ground. Richard Harris wouldn't quit, so after his part was finished filming, they hired William Smith to say on the set to keep Rod Taylor from killing Richard Harris!
