Memorial Day is just four days away, and All Sci-Fi continues to salute those brave soldiers who have given their lives to protect mankind from threats like rampaging dinosaurs, giant mollusks, Vensian creatures, and alien invaders!
Today’s Combat Ready Sci-Fi Thrillers features an unusual trio of tales, with three very strange enemies to battle.
The first one pits the U.S. Army against natures own lethal military — giant army ants, enlarged by radiation-induced mutations! The body count in this movie exceeds the “acceptable losses” the military might expect from an encounter with insects, but these are certainly no ordinary insects!
Next we have a yarn about a giant arachnid that can't even be harmed by several dozen sticks of dynamite! So the military sends in Captain Clint “Maverick” Eastwood to drop napalm on the hairy beast and fry it — just like we did with ants and a magnifying glass when we were sadistic youngster!
Last but not least, we have the strange tale from England about a battle between the Queen’s own royal army and a lethal blob of mobile mud which is hungry for radiation! Even its name is too horrible to say aloud . . . so they just call it X, The Unknown!
Admittedly, it’s appearance is perhaps less horrific then its unspoken name. ]
Whether you’re into hungry insects, indestructible arachnids, or malevolent mud, today’s salute to our fallen soldiers has something for you.
However, if you're in the mood for something more recent and creepy —
— press this button and let BoG take you into strange territory!
