"Dark Angel" was a sci~fi TV series that ran on the FOX Network from October 3, 2000 until May 3, 2002 for a total of 43-episodes.
Jessica Alba starred as Max Guevara who was a genetically engineered 'super soldier' created and raised by the covert military facility Manticore.
In 2009, Max, then nine-years old and 11 other boys and girls were able to escape from Manticore. They immediately separated from one another in order to make it more difficult for the aggressively pursuing Manticore agents who were intent on recapturing all of them.
In 2019, Max now works as a bike messenger service for Jam Pony located in Seattle where she attempts to conceal her true identity.
Terrorists have detonated an electromagnetic pulse weapon in the atmosphere over the U.S. since Max's escape.
This pulse has destroyed the vast majority of computer and communication systems leaving the U.S. in chaos.
America is now barely more than a developing country nowadays ruled over by a Draconian government.
In post~Pulse Seattle, Max struggles to search for the whereabouts of her Manticore 'brothers & sisters.'
Col. Donald Lydecker of Manticore leads the obsessive search for Max, known as X5-452 by Manticore, and the other escapees.
Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly) is an underground cyber-journalist whose alias is Eyes Only. Cale broadcasts the truth of what is really going on with the dictatorial government. And the government is desperate to shut Cale up forever.
Cale recruits Max with he superhuman abilities for missions to thwart the government's various evil projects.
This series was created by noted filmmaker James Cameron along with Charles H.Eglee and filmed in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The pilot was shot in Seattle, Washington.
This was an interesting and well done show that tackled an America that was in distress.
The plots dealt with intriguing issues and provided plenty of action and adventure along the way.
The cast did a fine job and the scripting was strong.
DA probably won't be considered one of the finest sci-fi TV series ever produced.
However, it was very well done and had a generous budget that supported its handsome looking production.
A shame that it only lasted for two seasons as it had many more stories to tell. |

Jessica Elba was hot at Invisible Woman, a rather plain name for a lovely superhero.

Yep, Jessica is a hottie alright.
I actually enjoyed the first 2 Fantastic Four films.
Many fans don't rank them all that high compared to all the Marvel Universe live film adaptations from the Marvel comic books.
Jess was blazing in both Sin City movies! |
