If you are a fan of the late and great Zero Mostel as I am, check out Youtube's one-man show by the terrific James Brochu portraying the life of the incredible Mostel.
Jim absolutely captures the brilliant, humorous, angry, powerful Mostel in all his complexity.
You won't be disappointed. |

My personal favorite of Mr. Mostel's screen appearances is undoubtedly the movie below. YouTube doesn't have the full movie (dammit . . . ), but they do have the title work, which features Zero Mostel's talent in all it's glory.
Enjoy!_

Zero was a wonderful character in his own right! He dominated EVERY part he had! Some of his best work was in the Mel Brooks (Another comic genius!) films he was in Notebly THE TWELVE CHAIRS and the original THE PRODUCERS.
As good as Topal was in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF it's a shame Zero wasn't called on to recreate his Broadway role.
You're right though Bud about his portrayal of Pseudolis in FORUM.
Thanks Pow for bringing this video to our attention! _________________ There comes a time, thief, when gold loses its lustre, and the gems cease to sparkle, and the throne room becomes a prison; and all that is left is a father's love for his child. |

Zero Mostel wasn't in The Twelve Chairs. It starred Ron Moody, Frank Langella, Dom DeLuise, and Mel Brooks as the former servant Tikon. And it's a very funny movie. |

Zero Mostel wore a toupee, but never made a sceret of it and would either wear it or not, depending on the role. But while wearing it he was known to tip it like a hat to women, or remove it in a elevator if a woman was present.
