My favorite Tommy Kirk role is the younger brother in Swiss Family Robinson, a wonderful movie.
But he's also very enjoyable in The Shaggy Dog and many other movies. _________________ ____________

Gord, Tommy was never a Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club. Tommy played boy detective Joe Hardy on two Hardy Boys serials which were run on The Mickey Mouse Club.
The Hardy Boys: "The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure" from 1956, and The Hardy Boys: "The Mystery of the Ghost Farm" from 1957.
Both are entertaining but I thought that the Applegate story was more intriguing than Ghost Farm.
Tommy became a Disney Legend in a ceremony held on October 9, 2006. Tommy's co-stars Tim Considine (The Hardy Boys, The Shaggy Dog), and Kevin Corcoran (Old Yeller, The Shaggy Dog, Swiss Family Robinson, and Savage Sam) were also inducted in the same ceremony. |
