COMET has become a REAL Sci-Fi channel, much like the original SciFi channel was during its first few years.
For example, their weekday schedule from 9:00 until 3:00 includes several movies, either horror or sci-fi.
And then, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, they air two episodes of Quantum Leap — which did a great two-part episode on the assassination of JFK!
From 5:00 to 7:00 they show two episodes of Farscape.
From 7:00 to 9:00 we get two episodes of The Outer Limits (the new version, which I love! )
Next, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 am, they show four episodes of The X-Files
And finally, from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM they show two episodes of Sliders.
Ah, but the fun doesn't stop there! After several hours of that obnoxious "paid program" that many cable/satellite channels spew out during the night and into the morning, COMET starts their weekend schedule
From 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, they air seven episodes of Night Gallery (which I still haven't seen a single episodes I really liked . . . )
From 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM they air several movies which range from a blend of horror and sci-fi — although they don't show much that I'm interested in.
Paid Programing takes over again for an hour between 9:00 PM and 10:00 (dammit), but then we get two movies from 12:00 PM to 3:00 am, on Sunday mornings.
After several more hours of the dreaded "paid programing", COMET comes alive again at 11:00 AM with The Ray Bradbury Theater with six episodes airing until 3:00 PM, when Sliders returns until 3:00 AM with twelve episodes!
COMET might not be my idea of the perfect Sci-Fi Channel, but for the most part iT beats the hell out SyFy! _________________ ____________
