Well, here we go again. Cars that give new meaning to the word "convertible", not to mention all the other kinds of machines that have "more than meets the eye". Nobody has a plot summary for it yet, but when a summary finally comes out, it will be built around the phrase "loud, with lots of destruction".
I haven't seen all of the first four, but the ones I have seen weren't really bad — they just weren't really good, either. _________________ ____________

All the Transformers movies, after maybe the first one or two, have left me asking, "What the hell am I looking at?" Things are simultaneously moving and changing shape so fast, my brain can't process the visuals. Normally I would pause the video, study the scene, advance a few frames, study it again, advance, study, etc. But I would have to do this so many times in these movies, I would end up buying lots of batteries for my remote, and then maybe not even make it to the end of the movie. _________________ ...or not...

IMDB has 84 trivia items for this movie. Here’s a few of the ones I found the most interesting, in the blue text.
________________________________
~ Writer Matt Holloway is a fan of the drama Downton Abbey (2010), and jokingly said that Jim Carter (who plays the butler Mr. Carson in the show) should voice Cogman. He was shocked when Michael Bay got Carter signed on as Cogman.
Note from me: Maybe the next Transformers movie should get to Paul Ruben to voice a character.
Optimus Prime – “I don’t want our newest member, Ridiculous Prime, to be in the upcoming battle. He was not effective in the last one.”
Ridiculous Prime – “I know you are, but what am I?”
~ Director Michael Bay is a noted dog lover, and he cast Freya, a British dog with epilepsy that many homes had rejecte.
Note from me: God bless Hollywood, where even a rejected epileptic British dog can become a star! (Rumor has it that the dog has presidential aspirations.)
~ Steve Buscemi voiced Daytrader in this film. Michael Bay had wanted Steve Buscemi to play Agent Simmons in Transformers (2007), but he was unavailable.
Note from me: A Transformer called Daytrader? In the world of robots, that definitely doesn’t sound like a “stock” character . . . . _________________ ____________

I can now barely remember most of the films in the franchise. I do recall one where they fought in the desert. Ironically, I fell asleep at that point because almost all of the movie was highlighted. |

I took a chance and went to see Bumblebee. I was pleasantly surprised, since I think I've only seen the first two Transformers movies and I wasn't fond of either one. _________________ ____________
