Tim, your replica is fantastic!
I'd love to see it floating around in your house, giving unwanted advice to your wife, Auriette, about how the furniture could he arranged more efficiently. (Yes, I've been reading your terrific website — https://tmlindsey.com/tmlabout-me.htm).
Your artwork is awesome, too, and I can hardly wait to see more of it.

It's still floating around at art shows or in storage with the curator. Probably should get that back but it hasn't been a big priority lately. Plus, Auriette would have to move some her massive amounts of Star Wars crap out of the way to make room for it

Thanks again. I stopped drawing pretty much completely about 28 years ago when started sculpting. Most "drawing" I do now is in Illustrator for laser cutting. _________________ "Have you never wondered what it would be like to walk between the ticks and tocks of Time?" |

Thanks! I wish the guy who did the electronics had delivered what he promised, but I was pretty happy with the build since it was my "return to sculpting" project after about a 10 year "break". _________________ "Have you never wondered what it would be like to walk between the ticks and tocks of Time?" |

These Are The Voyages: TOS, Season Two by Marc Cushman.
From NBC press release:
Following a series of space attacks, the Enterprise captures its adversary, a cylinder containing a voice which announces itself as Nomad, in "The Changeling" on NBC Television Network's colorcast of Star Trek this evening at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Spock (Leonard Nimoy), after correlating all information, determines that Nomad is a space probe launched from Earth in the year 2002. The cylinder reveals that it was sent to probe for biological impurities and destroy all that is not perfect.
When Nomad kills Scott (James Doohan), then brings him back to life, and erases the memory of Lt. Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), Captain kirk (William Shatner) devises a plan to destroy the cylinder.
Sidebar: Doing some nitpicking here with this NBC press release, Nomad was not captured by the Enterprise crew in the opening act. Nomad was was so phenomenally powerful that it was blasting the Enterprise with its energy weapon which was going to destroy the star ship.
Sidebar: They were able to make contact with Nomad and convince it to beam aboard the ship. It was the only way the crew was going to be able to survive the onslaught from Nomad's attack.
Sidebar: The press release then reveals some spoilers by giving away what Nomad does to Scotty and Uhura.
Sidebar: You and I just KNOW that Billy Shatner probably hated seeing his name listed last in the press release after Nimoy, Doohan, and Nichols! Lol!
Sidebar: Tim, your superb craftsmanship in recreating Nomad in such precise detail are absolutely stellar. I am awed. |

Thanks, Pow!
I did a 1:2 scale one but was forced to "bling it up" by the gallery curator, you know "silver and grey might be accurate, but it isn't sexy"
There's a video of it here if you're interested.

Better electronics guys this time made all the difference. I didn't like painting it an inaccurate color, but must admit I like the way it looks. I ended up not sending it to the gallery because it was too fragile to ship with confidence. _________________ "Have you never wondered what it would be like to walk between the ticks and tocks of Time?" |

I'm no model builder, nor am I an expert on TOS like Pow — but it occurred to me that (according to Pow) the colors in the episodes sometimes didn't come out quite right, especially a few of the costumes.
I'm sure I'm stretching the point, but perhaps the original prop had a bit more "bling" than the "official" colors would indicate.
Just a thought. _________________ ____________
