From IMDB: A scientist developing an energy source allowing interplanetary travel, is killed in his lab after a mysterious phone call. Security is tightened on the surviving scientist on the project, but he also dies after a phone call. An unknown ray had been aimed at both men, possibly coming from an intelligent being discouraging our space travels.

Another admirably complex story that went right over the heads of the average viewers in the 1950s. It was designed to challenge the minds of science fiction enthusiast who could appreciate a true sci-fi story.
The episode starts out with a terrific demonstration of scientific concepts by Truman Bradley before the story begins. He shows us amazing examples of how light energy could used as a weapon!
The episode then takes the idea to new levels in a manner that I won't even try to describe.
If you're really a fan of science fiction, you'll watch the 25 minute episode on YouTube and treat yourself to the kind of pure sci-fi we never get from modern television.
And then, for Pete's sake, share your thoughts with us here in a reply! That's what All Sci-Fi is for, dammit! _________________ ____________
