Unfortunately the Captain Video TV episodes on Youtube look pretty bad because of the way they were preserved during the live broadcasts.

However, I've started a thread in the movie section for the 1951 Captain Video serial, all 15 chapters of which look very good on Youtube. Occasionally the picture and sound will briefly drop in quality, so it appears that different film elements had to be used to construct complete episodes.
