This was a 26-minute pilot produced for the 1956~1957 television season.

Premise: Tobor has come into the control of the U.S. Government. He is owned by Professor Bruce Adams (The Adams Research Center), and mind-controlled by his genius nephew Tommy Adams. Tommy was born with one of the highest E.S.P. quotients ever recorded, as well as possessing a high I.Q.

The pilot episode was titled "Tobor and the Atomic Submarine." The storyline involves a search for a missing atomic submarine that turns out to be hijacked. The hijackers intend to use the submarine's missiles to threaten nations in order to collect a ransom.

Produced by Guild Films with a budget of $50,000.

Shame on me, Mike! Sad

I bought the DVD of Here Comes Tobor! several years ago, and made post about it in the thread for the movie. But I never started a thread for the series itself. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, here's the first episode. What a great show for 1950s Monsterkids!
