Today I found this surprise on YouTube, the full movie of a version of The Invisible Man made in 2017. Although the quick sampling I made suggests it might be good, most of the IMDB user reviews blast the production unmercifully.

The one exception was the review below.

Absorbing — romolo-110 April 2020

Contrary to other reviews I found this movie to be very good. Special effects are at a minimum and is more concerned with the story line. I think reviews were from ones expecting big special effects and did not bother to follow the story. Sarah Navratil did a great job playing Heather.

I'll watch it and then post a review on this thread.

Hopefully I'll have good things to say about it . . . or it might end up being wretched, in which cause my review will be short. Something like, "It sucks."

Time will tell.

Have you had a chance to watch this yet Bud? If so, what are your thoughts on it.

Personally I enjoyed it. It will never replace the original Invisible Man, but given the many harsh reviews this film got, I found it an enjoyable watch.
