_____
Director Richard E. Cunha (of "Missile to the Moon" infamy) presents what might tactfully be called one of the lesser efforts in the Frankenstein genre.
Donald Murphy plays the grandson of the legendary doctor. His fiendish experiments not only produce a surgically-assembled monster but also a drug-created creature.
The first of these is an aging actor with unconvincing melted-flesh makeup on one side of his face and the rest of his head covered in bandages. The second of the two is a girl (Sandra Knight) whom the doctor injects with a drug that turns her into a hideous beast with big horsy teeth.
This, we must assume, is the "daughter" of the film's title. The monster which Miss Knight supposedly turns into is actually played by a man.
Also starring John Ashley, Sally Todd, and Harold Lloyd, Jr. Originally co-billed with "Missile to the Moon", director Richard E. Cunha's other epic cheapo. _________________ ____________

For the longest time, I thought the mad doctor was Whit Bissel. Either way, he brings the art of chewing scenery to a whole new level. |

Ha, there is an understatement!
Despite its shortcomings, I actually enjoyed this bit of celluloid "cheese". Some of the worse make-up in cinema, Frankenstein's Daughter is sure to hit a sweet spot for those who enjoy (like I do), cheesy movies. _________________ "You look like a pooped out pinwheel."

While reading your post, Wade, I had a funny thought.
If movies that are not-so-well-done are "cheesy", does that mean that a bad spaghetti Western could be called "macaroni and cheese?"
Okay . . . maybe not such a funny though after all.

I first saw Frankenstein's Daughter on television when I was eight years old. I was so creeped out by the Big Reveal of Sandra Knight's monster face that I had to turn away from the TV and ask my mom to change the channel.
With my grownup sensibility, she just looks like someone in a cheap fright wig with putty all over her face, ping-pong-ball eyes, and Groucho eyebrows.

Or that Reptilicus or Journey to the Seventh Planet could be called a "cheese Danish"? |

Imagine a drive-in double feature with A Fist Full of Dollars and Frankenstein's Daughter. The snack bar could offer special "cheesy" items on the menu, like the ones we suggested. _________________ ____________
