David Ackroyd plays a scientist who is paralyzed after an attack by members of organized crime.

Seeking revenge and vigilante justice, Ackroyd builds a metal suit similar to Marvel Comics' "Iron Man", although the design of Exo-Man's suit is a bit too clumsy to be appealing. He looks like an Oscar-Meyer wiener with arms and legs!

Co-starring Jose Ferrer, Harry Morgan, and Kevin McCarthy ("Invasion of the Body Snatchers").

This pilot for an unsold series was directed by Richard Irving, who had better luck with "The Six Million Dollar Man", which he produced and directed. Star David Ackroyd's rich and distinctive voice can be heard playing a multitude of roles in the "Star Wars Radio Adaptation", a 13-chapter serialization of the famous movie, using several of the movie's original stars, plus great sound effects and a skillfully re-edited version of John Williams' music.
