No doubt about it, the 1980s and 1990s produced a “bumper crop” of lighthearted science fiction movies. I own many of them, and the only one of the trio I don’t have is Honey, I Shrunk the Kids , simply because Disney has never released a DVD that's in widescreen, much less a Blu-ray!
Tremors and The Rocketeer are great examples of the Feel Good Sci-Fi from those two decades — and there ARE Blu-rays of both movies.
